Hi fussionboy, Thanks for dropping by. I'm glad you like the way it turned out. It was a nice little kit.

Wolfhammer1 and Gamera,

Thanks for looking in. I wanted to keep the weathering light. Representing a Mk I probably pre clone wars era.

I'm only familiar with the Z-95 from the old 'X-Wing' and 'Tie Fighter' PC games. But I figure the Z-95 is pretty much the P-40 of the SW universe so different versions would make a great deal of sense.

Really nice work on her although it does seem funny to see a clean SW spacecraft! The striping in both blue and green looks cool!

Unless I miss my guess, the Mk 1 Z-95 comes from Brian Daley's Han Solo series of books.   Han flies one in defense of a smuggler's base that he is at.

Hi Kugai,  The Mk I is not to well referenced. The Star Wars Wiki has just a small blurb on it before going into the more recognizable versions. I got this kit off of ebay and was trying to get a Mk II or III that the guy was selling at the same time. At least I got one of them. This is a 1/48 scale kit from Misc. Models. It was pretty well detailed with very few problems with the resin. Even came with three engine options, ion, fusion and another that I don't recall at this time.

I appreciate your comments.

Good job with that kit!  I hadn't heard of that particular version of the Z-95.

Star Wars Z-95 Headhunter Mk I

Good evening everyone! This is my latest addition to what seems to be an ever growing Sci-Fi group of models. As the title states a Z-95 mostly known from the expanded universe. This is also my first all resin model, except for the pilot which came from hasegawa's ground crew set.

So a storyline:

Prior to the Clone Wars and even well into them, the Z-95 was a well respected fighter. The Mk I being an early version had a swing wing design and ion engines, but lacked a hyperdrive. This kept the Headhunter as mostly a planetary defense fighter or one that was carried within a capitol ship. She had six laser canons (3 on each side) for armament. Later varients did away with the swing wing design and placed two heavy laser canons on the wingtips and two torpedo launchers in the fuselage. A hyperdrive was added for increased range.

This particular vehicle belongs to Aargau's security patrol (A.S.P), Devil Squardon, White Four.

Hope you guys enjoy it.
