Hi guys, a while back I wanted to do a Hawkbat commander figure from
the Star Wars Universe, using parts from the Hawkbat Trooper figure
found in the 30th Anniversary Collection and parts from a Clone Trooper
Commander.
I used the body of the Revenge of the Sith Coruscant Clone Commander,
the helmet and poncho from the Phase 1 Hawkbat Trooper and added a
helmet scanner from a Jango Fett figure. The shoulder Pauldron was taken
from a Revenge of the Sith carded Clone Commander. The body was given a
few thick washes of matt black and one of a middle grey, the dabbed
away in places with thinners on a cloth. The helmet was washed and a
spot of red shading was added to attempt to pick up the red on the
armour. The smock was shortened, weathered and a few rips and scrapes
added. The Pauldron was re-painted and new colour added to the panels.
Finally, a few standard weapons were added and a coiled up jump cord
was added too.
