Warhammer 40k land raider tank commission
Posted by Mike H. on Monday, August 6, 2012 12:26 PM

I finally got this labor of love wrapped up and ready to return to my customer. 3 1/2 months ago my customer brought me a picture of Kirrel Kaniav's Golden Demon winning tank and asked if I could do something similar and mirror both sides.  It's a mixture of brush and airbrush painting, Tamiya, Citadel, and oil paints, and almost the kitchen sink thrown at it too. I'm very happy that I was able to pull this off and hope the customer will appreciate it as well.  Everything was hand-painted by me without decals.

Very nice artwork !

I especially like the overall effect of blending everything together with shading.Big SmileYes

Reminds me of the artwork displayed by  some 1970s era American vans.

Also makes me want to check on those kits for one of my own builds.

You hope the customer will appreciate it ?!?

I'm sure this customer's jaw will drop to the floor with the fantastic brush skills deployed on this one, Mike.

Very well done.

Spectacular results !

if your customer doesn't like it or wants to change your art work tell 'em no and just send the model to me.  I promise I'll take very good care of it and give it food and water  er- fuel and ammo, when ever it needs it - promise

Thank you for the compliments guys.  I've got a couple minor things to fix yet, but the customer is happy and should hopefully be back in town this week to pick it up and pay for it.
