Here's the kit from Chris Kelley.

Took some extra steps to avoid future warpage.

The outer wing panels were completely remade around a core of 3/32 aluminum sheet.

A hinged lid was added which opened up some more detailing opportunities.

Wherever there was a 'pass through' in the main body the cast in details were rebuilt.

The mount for the PanaVise is recessed to look a lil cleaner.

"Glass" was added to cutout or fabricated channels.

And finally it was painted and put upon a custom base with controls.

I hope you enjoy.

Thanks Bish but this is a resin offering quite a bit larger than the MPC kit.  It matches the size of the original studio filming miniature and the wings are eleven inches long, twelve inches apart at their widest point. This one (Kit by Chris Kelley) was actually number one of a limited run of twenty five. That base is about 15X15 too. The larger size just means more fun, right.Wink

I see, thanks Squid. The MPC kit is not small, so i can guess this is impressive. I just found a site and he does some impressive stuff. But i think this would be out of my price range even if  i could get hold of one. Your a lucky guy.
