Hello!
I'm not really into that stuff (although it is pretty cool!), but if there's anything you'd like me to check out for you here, let me know.
I always have to walk by rows of Gundam, Macross, Patlabor, Votoms, Yamato, and other stuff to get to the armor kits here!

Been looking for translations of instruction books. i would really like to read the information in them for paint colors and detailing hints. Haven`t seen that one yet. Check out some of the anime mags, might find an importer in there. try Animerica and New Type USA.

To Cham313on:
I see tons of Maschinen Krieger stuff, but not certain about that particular kit.
I'll check it out.

well I have ALL the Neon Genesis/evangelion models AND a host of Gundam (including Perfect Grades - eg: Zaku/EVA-01) I also (grin) have ALL of the starblazers kits put out by Bandai including several versions of the Yamato. I am really happy I have these.. and have only been able to model 2 evangelions so far... However, except for yourself I havent really come across anyone who has an interest in Starblazers... and I dont speak japaneses too well...

I am a Starblazers fan from the early Eighties. I remember coming home from school and watching "The Journey to Iscandar" and "The Comet Empire" series. Haven`t seen the third series "The Bolar Wars" yet though. Starblazers has recently came out on DVD, am planning on purchasing all three. haven't done any Evangelions yet, but have watched several episodes and like the stories.

Hi you guys it 's good to hear from all of you at this forum, I am new, but I'll tell you what I am built or building now. The V-Gundam 1/100 scale Full-Action prototype Mobile-Suit is quite huge compared to other 1/100 scale models from Bandai, It's how you might want to say "awesome". The W-Gundam series - Gundam Sandrock Custom is tiny althought it's 1/100 scale, my son got quite excited playing with it & got the right hand broken off. yeh I know don't let the little one touch them! Well one kit from Bandai is FA010S Full Armor ZZ Gundam is one awesome kit, it's got tons of stuff that you hardly find in a Master-grade kit. I manage to brought myself a perfect-grade W-Gundam Zero Custom 1/60 scale, and datsa whole new idea what a Gundam should be like. I feel nothing else can beat this kit, that's what I feel anyway. If you can take a look at the Hobby magazine from Japan, (yes it's in japanese) a scratch built Gundam Sentinel ORX-013 Mk-V modified scale is fantastic, but I guess it difficult ot find it,(issue February 2002). well hear from ya guys soon........

My most recent kit is the MSA0011 S-Gundam, Master Grade. I am looking forward to completing it. It is my favorite now, before it was the Master grade GP02A from the "Stardust Memory" series. This looks to be a lot more impressive. Looking for a Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe Hell Custom tho. I have one in the High Grade line, still impressive. Master Grade would be better.

Just got the 1/100 HG Tallgeese III from Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. You can actually build it as Tallgeese I, II, or III; I loved the original from the TV series, but I have to say that the Epyon-style heat whip on III is too cool to ignore. Thinking about buying a second kit just to build 'em both!

Say, what kind of paints do you all use to airbrush your Gundams?

You guys are completely missing a whole section of anime models, the resin kits

This is a 1/8th scale Misato from Neon Genesis Evangelion
that I painted.

Actually the car currently needs some duct tape for the front end.
One of my friends ran straight into me and cracked the lower air dam on this body. The car is an old HPI pro R/C car.

Here is another figure I painted for a friend.

Do I have any anime kits?! Lemme see...

-Macross ( only thing left on my "wish list" is a VF-2 )
-Evangelion ( at least one of all the LMHG series )
-Zeiram
-Patlabor
-Gasaraki ( you should really look into these if you haven't already )
-Mospeada
-Southern Cross ( 2 armor suits, no mecha )
-Devilman

As for Gundam, I'm not a fan and I've only gotten one of these myself ( the other two were gifts from someone tryng to get me into the show ). I couldn't resist the Dendrobium, the thing was just too kewl!

I do like Star Blazers, but I've not been able to get many of the kits. I'm just glad I got the only one that really counts: a large-scale Argo/Yamato.

Hi! Living in Japan....I have access to any hard-to-find Gundam. I have just started building master grades. Right now, I'm working on the Gundam Seed GAT-X103 (Buster Gundam) and the ZGMF-X10A (Freedom Gundam). My first was the RX-178 Gumdam Mk-II. I'm looking for some techniques to make my Gundams look as realistic as possible.
If you are interested in finding the Gundams you can't find at home...e-mail me and we can discuss it.

Check out this site -

http://www.gremlins.com/

Not much Mecha, but there are 326 Anime photos in the Gallery section, not to mention Horror, Sci-Fi, Girls Wink [;)] etc. Definately worth a look.

I know I have a bit of catching up to do but I just bought the first Robotech series DVD and gave it a look. I have been collecting model kits from the series for a few years and I wanted to finally see the show. The Valkyries are pretty cool but I can't wait to see some of the specialized Destroid 'mechs in action; Spartan, Tomahawk, Defender, MONSTER! Anyone know where in the series these guys appear?

memeau,

All of the non-transformable mecha you mention are in "Macross" in various episodes, as well as the movie. In kit form, all are discontinued ( to my knowledge ) and were released by Arii, along with the Zentraedi mecha models about 20 years ago.

I'm pretty new to the anime/mecha seen but they just seem to draw me in, kinda like and addiction. I've seen so many different subjects thatI'm mystified as to were to go and what to do. I've gotten some gundam kits, Wing zero custom, hellscythe custom, epyon, a Domtroppen, the aquatic one from gundam 0080 but there are more that i'd like. Like an idiot I didn't look for them when I was stationed in Japan for a year so now I'm in search of some stuff that I will never find more than likely. My daughter loves Ah my Goddess and sailor moon. My son is into DragonBallGT and Z we all like Big O, Inuyasha and Trigun and some of the other stuff that we've only seen in passing looks great. My son Daughter and I would really like to get a pen-pal contact in Japan for some trading or just general correspondence back and forth.
Thanks,

Macross and the Five Star Stories are my top subjects. I flip flop between them in obsessiveness. Right now I am still in my Macross phase.

My daughter is also into Sailor Moon (still trying to find a 5 inch Sailor Jupiter doll for her) and my son was really excited and Cartoon Network started airing new Inuyasha episodes (We tape them). I'm an old Macross - Yamato/Starblazers fan.
