I have this thread running on a few forums and thought I would put it up here as well.

These are the plans for the kit. A total of 45 LEDs are being added to the kit. These include 3mm, 5mm, and SMT LEDs. The majority of the LEDs will be SMTs. All of the SMTs will be on the outside, lighting all the flashing roof lights and lights on the bottom. The flashing lights will be powered by a custom programmed Jupiter 2 Fusion Core board. There is a random flash pattern for each LED. The doors are also cut out and hinged, Lamborghini style, as in the movie. Seperating the side door glass from the main windscreen was tedius to say the least.

I;lll let the pics speak for themselves for the most part. I'll make some comments on some when needed. Pics are thumbnails that are clickable for a bigger view.

Mocked up body and window unit.

Here I am thinning the plastic on the backside of the door panel line. This will make cutting the door out easier.

Hinges built. The doors will be held open with magnets.

Deatails added to the door panels.

This is the Fusion Core board that will power all of the blinking lights. It will be mounted under the rear deck.

Front wheel pods being modded for lights. Also the side stripes being modded for lights as well.

Thanks Steve!

Here are bases being made for the roof bubbles. An SMT is sandwiched inside.
