MGM, MMF: Voltes V was actually a 70's era cartoon series. It was being aired here in the Philippines through 1980's and even the 1990's.

Here's one link:

There has been lots of different figures released previously and are already considered rare nowadays.

Nice work on the Gundams Gary.

I'm still having trouble remebering that one. I'll have to do a web search. There were so many combiner robots and Shogun Warrior Robots during the '80's it's hard to keep up!

P.S. Just did a search! Cool toy! The cartoon seens of the robot look familiar but I'm sure I've never seen it. Strange I watched evey other robot and sci-fi toon of the eighties. maybe it didn't play in my area.

MGM: voltes V is a japanese 80's animation where five parts connects to form a big robot. the head is a jet called "Cruizer", the body is a bulldozer called "Panzer" (cool hehe), etc... forgot the other 3 parts. it got cool weapons and for finishing his enemy robot, he uses this electro-magnetic sword. i think that was my favorite cartoons when i was a kid.

i like those Macross kits too by Hasegawa but it's quite expensive. most of 'em are aircrafts though.

anyway, let's go back to the darkside, i have a stug to finish lol

what's hard to find here are those voltes v robots and the original transformers by hasbro company. and if u find one, it's very expensive.

Head over to Hobby Link Japan and check the Transformer re-issues, no promises on the Voltes V Robots though.

Don't think I've heard of the Voltes V. Sounds familiar tho. Didn't know you were a sci-fi man Gary. I'm not alone in the armor forums!Big Smile [:D] Building Gumdans and zoids are what got me interested in armor. I figure what i can learn from building armor can be applied to my gundams, zoids and other sci fi models.

I preferred method for panelling is Technical pencil on flat coat, then flat coat on top to seal them.

I also use a 0.5mm permanent marker for the same effect, gently cleanup with an eraser works here well for me.

Agreed that the lines need to be sealed.

Yup, noticed the Zaku III in the background, looks good.

The SD Zaku Ninja doesn't seem to be produced any longer over here, can't find it.

See the result below so far(done the left shoulder and left hip front armor/ right side in the picture)
