Where do you find small lenses to go over the ends of fiber optics?

I didn't think you need any! From my little experience you use fibre optics to light a specific point and LED's to light an area, but I could be wrong as I only have two lighting sets

I'd be interested in lenses too.  What kind of fiber are you using, glass or plastic.

I've heated plastic fiber until it mushrooms to form a lens.  The problem I've found is that it doesn't act like a lens... I mean, it doesn't increase the angle of emission.  It looks rather like an eye with a bright pupil, so you can't see much light if you look at it from a low angle or edge on.  Hope that makes sense.

Melting the fiber works if you paint the back of the "mushroom" silver to reflect the light better. Also have used MV products lenses. they come already painted so you need to scrape a small opening in the back to allow the light to shine through. After painting the silver dont forget to paint flat black over it to prevent bleedthrough.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
