Warhammer 40k Whirlwind
Posted by pyrman64 on Saturday, May 11, 2013 8:14 PM

I finally got started on my build of the Warhammer 40k Whirlwind..... it's for the "Canadian GB" and the Forces of Nature Group Build

two shots of the uncompleted chassis

the rocket launcher base, minus the radar

the rocket launcher pods

I'll be using Canadian Army markinsg from Archer Fine Transfers.  I have yet to decide on whether to paint it in a traditional military camo or a flamboyant Warhammer scheme.  Decisions....decisions..... Confused

hopefully, work will continue tonight....

Here's the built chassis,  it still needs a bit of putty before paint.

Alright now folks....time to don your favorite sunglasses as this one's pretty bright!  My Household-6 asked it it came with a dimmer switch?! Huh?  I reminded her that SHE picked the color!Surprise

I finally got some time to work on the Whirlwind and managed a basecoat of.....MM SUBLIME! from their Custom Lacquer System

Detail painting and markings [The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regt) of Canada] - a mix of WWII and modern - are in progress, at the moment.
