"Tron" stuff?
Posted by upnorth on Friday, February 20, 2004 4:51 PM
I don't come to the sci fi forum a lot, so forgive me if this has been asked before.

Were there ever any kits of the ships and vehicles from the film "Tron" made?

I saw the film this past weekend for the first time in years and forgot how much I enjoyed it. It was such a groundbreaking film for CG special effects.

It'd be great to have a lightcycle or one of those tanks on the shelf somewhere.

I've never done one but if my memory is correct (prolly not) I tought there was a light cycle done once. Can't remember who put it out or anything else, just a little haze in my brain that says "yeah, you saw one".

There are more than listed on the site, but you will need to hunt them down in 2nd-hand kit ot toy shops.

One Company(Kubrick) did a whole set of the Mecha and figs not too long ago (Cycles, recogniser, tanks, etc)

I know there were some GK lightcycles made in two different scales. Don't know the company, though. Sorry.
