Hi, I’m Jon Rogers. Spaceship Archeologist
I’m contacting you because of your interest in the Spaceship Handbook and, “The Saucer Fleet.” I was the Co-Author and illustrator of both books and, I created all the intensely detailed, scale accurate, Spaceship Design drawings that enhanced them.
Since then, I’ve been hosting a website, (www.rogersrocketships.com) where I offer updated versions of those drawings and also examples of exceptional, rare, artworks related to Classic Science Fiction, Space Heroes and Spaceships. Although my art and design drawings are sold worldwide, you may or may not have heard of my work, and my mission to preserve our spaceflight heritage.
HOWEVER! What you probably do not know is that two years ago I was appointed by the Dille Family Trust as the Official Buck Rogers in the 25th Century ® Artist to create a unique series of portraits commemorating Buck Rogers’® historic career. I need not tell you that, as the first character to create a market for Science Fiction worldwide, Buck Rogers® had a profound effect on American culture from his beginnings in the 1920s through his 80 plus year career in comics, radio, TV and movies. And now I hear with great authority that Buck Rogers® will be returning once again, soon!
