Vanship Kitbash
Posted by 40.mm on Friday, August 30, 2013 10:27 AM

I am guilty of watching anime if itz got mech,s,droidsor flying things. So a year or so ago while looking around on Netflix for something to watch i came across THE LAST EXILE and gave it a look it had some kinda flying things called Vanships on it and i thought i wonder if i could build one? Some time later while looking thru a Squadron catalog i saw a 1937 Cord kit and my brain came to a screeching halt and screamed Vanship and that how it all started !

This is the kit i am gonna put to the saw !

There is no guilt from watching Anime.

The Last Exile was a good show.  Lots of cool things that I'd like to have in plastic.  There is a sequel, if you didn't know, and a kit of a Vanship from that series came out this year.

I am anxious to see where you take this!  Subscribed!

That's really cool! I've seen the model kit but kitbashing your own is an awesome idea!

Looking forward to more photos...

Very cool! You can definitely is starting to look like a vanship. Do you plan to build Claus' courier, Tatiana's fighter, or come up with one of your own? Props for taking this on! Can't wait to see it all come together.

Nice scratch build. I like how you made the front wing things with the curved parts Idea

Whoever designed that must have been a Hayeo Miyazaki fan...

I detect a bit Gunship influence as well.

Neat, I will have to look for this, is it a cable show or video-game?
