That's way nicer and cleaner than my old kit. I'd be tempted to try to rebuild mine but 75% of the parts are gone!
Looking forward to the cockpit detailing, I really don't remember much about how the interiors looked now.

Here's some pictures of what I have to work with.
Now the fun begins on how to redo the whole cockpit and add lights.

BlackSheepTwoOneFour I used to have that kit when I was a kid. And yeah - I loved that TV show as well.

I was actually looking for my model of the space shuttle from 2001 a space Odyssey, I wanted to redo it with lights and repaint and I found bucks interceptor in a box of stuff and decided to work on it instead.
Actually I guess I shouldn't say ALL over - since it was molded in white I didn't paint most of her. Only painted the engine pods with fuzzy silver and a few details here and there. Gee what a mess but I was proud of her!!!
I have some of the kit around somewhere, wonder if I can find it!
+1 on looking forward to the pictures!
I used to have the die-cast one when I was a bit younger - super cool with swing wings & "working" missiles. Sorry to say it, but I can remember being extremely envious one Christmas when I saw someone out playing with their inflatable remote control Twiki....

Gamera Looking forward to the photos. This was one of the first models I ever build. I used the old Testor's square bottles and didn't have any brushes so I used a cotton swab- had fuzz all over the thing!

Sounds like a cool project, John. Will be following with great interest.

Well, resurrected my star fighter I half way finished in the eighties, very basic paint job and no decals. I want to update it by opening up the canopies and detailing and lighting the cockpit and engines.
I did get it split apart last night and the cockpit out so now the fun begins. I'll post some pictures in the next couple of days.
