My Models of 2013, Happy New Year!!!!
Posted by NucMedTech on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 12:36 PM

Hi Everyone,

I wish you all a Happy New Year, may it be a good one in all aspects of your life. I wish to submit, in review my models of 2013. (Not in any order)

Hope next year will be just as busy as this last one was.

I really like the Han Solo figure mainly because I have that kit, or one just like it. It was released by AMT years ago. I've built most of it but have never finished it because I have no idea how to paint a figure of that size. My previous figure painting experience is with 1/35 scale figures. I have a number of vinyl kits that I haven't built and hopefully someday I'll get up enough nerve to actually finish one.

Really nice work there, though.

Current project(s): Hobby Boss: 1/72 F9F-2 Panther

Hi Jim,

Thanks for dropping by, appreciate the comments. If you really have the urge to finish Han, there is a GB going on called Heros and Villians. That's where I got the nerve to try my first human face in large scale. Still have a lot to improve on, but the guys in the GB are a great bunch and really helpful.

TD!! How's it going? Yep the YT-1300 is in the Stellar Envoy scheme or at least as close as I could get to it. Don't know to much about it, other than you can get a very small glimpse of it in Ep. III as it's coming into a landing bay at the Senate building. I've heard that there is reference to it in the book "The Millenium Falcon" among other iterations the falcon has gone throught. Haven't read it, yet.

In the book you mentioned there is a story where the MF has some kind of tribal paint job.Not much detail, however. That's the one I'd like to do.

Heard about that one, I heard that there was also a time when it was in a carnival. That could be a colorful scheme too.

I'm not ready to get back to work on Han just yet. Exactly how do those group builds work?

Some stunning work there Stephen. I have to pick out the trooper and Darth as my favourites, but they are all great builds.

Jim, I think the FSM GB is closed to new entries now. Maybe do a WiP on it, I am sure there are plenty of people interested,

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Great work on all those, Stephen! Your rendering on the YT-1300 is both awesome and interesting.

So, it isn't the Millenium Falcon that we briefly see in Ep III ? Shucks, and I had this whole back story in my head regarding what it was doing there and such. I have to completely rethink that now.

Bill.

On the bench:  Lindberg 1/32 scale 1934 Ford Coupe and a few rescue projects.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.

Hi Bill, Technically you can keep your back story as the Stellar Envoy eventually becomes the Millenium Falcon. Thanks for taking a look.
