A LHS in Fairborn Oh also has the three ship set if you need another. He also has the three ship Enterprise set with the tos, tmp and tng ships. The first one i think he ahd for fifteen bucks and the second for twenty bucks. He will mail order. Contact him at 937-879-4112 or email him at doyle@fairborn.net. I don't think he has a web site though.

Roosterfish,

Thanks for the heads-up! I've also seen aftermarket decals for the cutaway Enterprise for the complete look.

I've always thought the SSS model was the cutest model. I think the scale is 1:2500 scale. It has always seem just the right size to put on a desk. If you look on Ebay you can see there are aftermarket decals for the ship that includes all the ship's markings and the windows for the model. How's that for a suggestion for dressing up the model?

Star Trek Space Ship Set arrived today. Very happy with the seller (Starbase Atlanta). The kit was properly packed and arrived rather quickly. Was even more amazed at how good the decal sheet is. This kit has the original box art (I believe), but on the front it has the copyright for 1966 and 1983, so it must be a 1983 re-issue (Wrath of Khan made Star Trek popular again I guess). Still, for a 20 year-old kit the decals look just fine. Probably because the box was still in original shrink-wrap.
I have been toying with the idea of making a shadowbox diorama with at least one of the models. Any suggestions welcome.

Very cool concept! The build doesn't conclude until June so you'd have loads of time. I'd like to see a few others join in as a show of support for the Sci-Fi forum.

They have expanded the subject of the build. I bet your gunboat would be ok.

I have an interesting design, but I probably would never get around to it in time. I'll see if I can dig up the pic. Its actually more of an interceptor/gunboat.

Steven are you going to enter the Scratchbuilt Star Fighter group build? If so you could build a Federation Starfighter for your carrier!

Yes I was a SFB junkie!Big Smile [:D] I had quite a few minis, too. Hated those cardboard counters. My other fave was Avalon Hill's Arab/Israeli Wars. I still have all those pesky micro armor pieces.

Kugai I'm sorry to say that JF Green is no more. His prices were a little high but for a long time he was the best source. I think E-bay took too much his business.

I recieved my PNT Reliants today. Sweet! Looks easy to build plus nice decals.

Lots of fun was had with those games.

I still have Commanders I, II, & III. Those and Avalon Hills Airforce, Dauntless, and the A/F-D Expansion pack were my favorite table top games of the 70's & 80's. Want to have a match, I get the Federation! LOL Tongue [:P]

John Green models is another option. I bought the set there for $4 a few years back, but he may have run out or raised the price since then.

Thanks Woody, but I have too much to build already. My b-day present to myself was 2 2500th scale PNT models Reliants. Should be quick builds, but I have that pesky carrier to finish. Then I started thinking about a 1400th scale Hydran ranger scratchbuild. A while ago I picked up 2500th scale Ent. D's(2), an "E", an "A" and TOS for $15! That was a deal. I think I'll convert one of the D's to a Nebula with the VA models kit.

Woody, those are all of a sudden in great demand and are being snatched up fast. Again, Check Sm Trading Post every once in a while, you may find one. I'll keep my eyes open.

Last set I bought was off Ebay and with S/H I paid just under $7 for an original issue. What I'm looking for now is the 1/2500 set of the three later enterprises. I'm dying to get my hands on the C & E in 1/2500!

Thanks guys,

I got my copy from e-bay. The one I got is an old kit with the original box art. The same kit was repackaged in the 80s. Luckily I have a well-preserved decal sheet from an 80s repackage kit.

I seem to recall a few at the Starship Modeler Trading Post. Sometimes cheaper than E-bay(sometimes not).

It is one of my favorite Star Trek models and is called the STAR TREK SPACE SHIP SET, model # 6677. I've built two sets and have a third set to build later. I might build a broken Federation ship with the last set. And the last, last Space Ship Set I can't build because the wrapper has Sulu's (George's) autograph on it. But I have found a couple of auctions at Ebay for them.

Use the Ebay search and use the keywords, TREK SPACE SHIP SET

Star Trek 3-Ship, Federation, Klingon, Romulan

Hello All,

The kit I'm looking for is the old AMT ERTL 3-ship kit that had a Federation Heavy Cruiser (original series), Klingon Battle Cruiser and Romulan Bird of Prey (all original series). This kit was very small scale. I haven't seen this kit around in a long time and wondering if anyone knows where I can find one other than Ebay?

Thanks,

DJ
