My DY100 vs Polar Lights DY100
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 21, 2014 8:31 PM

Here are 2 DY100's and my DY100.  The top one is scratch built, the one in the middle is Federation Models (resin kit) and the one in the foreground is the recently released Polar Lights kit.

Which one do you like better?

Very good.  I like the differences. Like the red tanks and the reinforcement detailing on the cargo containers. Nice realistic touch.

I like yours as well, ap.  How long are those models?

There seems to be something missing on the PL version.

Very cool. I like the extra cargo bins you put on yours, looks like she could actually carry something instead of the small bins on the TV version.

the one in the back is five and 7/8 ths long.  the middle is just about 4 and 1/2 long, and polar lights is just under 4 inches.  I had to find a tape,  I never did any measuring when I built mine

the cooling fins on the back are in the box still.  they are too delicate to install before paint.
