mitsdude
Is this a model kit or the Mattel toy?

It's the MPC/Airfix kit. I believe it's due for re-release in the very near future, but the asking price may be a little too rich for me Sad

Nice work there Ap me, should look even better with the added cabling if you decide to add it.

Funny, though I'm a fan of Landau I never really warmed to this show although the Eagle was a pretty darn cool looking spacecraft.

Yeah, not long after that, I bought the Hawk as a birthday present for a nephew. Wish I'd got one for myself too. Sad

ap me
I watched the show when it was original, then about ten or fifteen years ago,

When it was original? That would be about 35 years ago.. Smile  I got S1 on DVD a little while back

I'd love to get hold of another one of these kits. I did one when it was new, a long, long time ago.

Sounds like you've got a grasp on the details. Your build makes me want to go out and buy one of these. I'll have to look up some episodes on the web.

I watched the show when it was original, then about ten or fifteen years ago, I ordered the complete 1999 and ufo series on dvd.  by trade, I am a airframe and powerplant mechanic.  I used to work the heavy lift aircraft for the strategic air command.so in typical fashion, I think I am going to install wiring or cabling in the ladder section, and trunking on the engines.....I hope

Nice work.  I never really watched the show but I think the Eagle is a nice looking ship design.

The first pictures are of a Space 1999 Eagle I found in several different Garage Sales 15 years ago.  One of the pictures depicts the belly of the Eagle with no real detail.  The last pictures show where I've added details to those pieces.  There is structural reinforcement in between the engine. This is still a work in progress and I'll be posting more if I don't get bored with it!
