NCC-1701A & Display
Posted by Scratchbuilder725 on Thursday, April 17, 2014 3:32 PM

I built this Polar Lights NCC-1701A snap kit as a birthday gift for a friend.

The boxes on the display base are for him to store whatever he wants in them to make it more than the traditional static model display.

Well, that's pretty unusual and nifty!  Nice work!

Very cool! Did you use decals for the Aztec panel work?

Yes! took me a good couple hours to finish all the decals, used a lot of  decal setting solution. The pearlescent paint underneath did not show through until after the clear coat over the decals.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

People like you make my models look like crap. {Did I say that out loud?}

Keep up the good work. Love this model, keep posting.

I used Krylon Clear Coat with no pearl.
