Hi all! Now it s time for the amazing Star Wars Snowspeeder, the AT-AT worst enemy!

We ll explain how we are painting 3 models at the same time: two from Fine Molds and one Snaptite model (the little one). Here you have some pics of the first phase of the process. If you re interested in this subject, we ve written a very detailed making of in our site, where you ll be always welcome. http://moviekits.net/star-wars-snowspeeders/

As is becomin the custom, we'd appreciate very much any contribution.

Cheers!!

Checked out your website and must say impressive work!

I ain't no grammar coach or speaker of perfect English but from your use of words I would guess you guys are from South America?

The website is very professional, are you selling models on commission or just displaying your work for others to enjoy? A friend builds and sells mainly science fiction model subjects on commission, his site is:

smallartworks.ca

Good luck and may the force be with you... always!

Thanks a lot guys for your Kind words :)

Suppresionfire, you were close, but we are from Madrid, Spain. Same language but far away from South America!!!

Our site was made originally to show our work and the way we made our models (painting tips, tutorials...) but, once shown the AT-AT (scratchbuilt) and the AT-ST (3D designed), lot of people liked them and told us to create a kit from them, so we are preparing a limited edition that will be out this month. Its basically a on-demand production.

BTW, your friends work is definitely remarkable. If he's interested in promoting his work, we'd be happy to show it in our page.

cheers!!!

Thanks guys!

I admire you work as well. Contact Jim and let him know about the AT-AT you are producing, if he cannot take one he may have a customer who is interested. Who knows you might be able to work together on a project one day?

Jim's personal interest is Space 1999 studio scale models. One I really like is the moon laser tank based on a British Challenger 1/24 scale R/C tank.

Thanks again for posting the link, really interesting times we live in to be able to network and see peoples work from around the world!

Thanks a lot Suppression, it's really nice to know people like you round here. For sure we'll contact Jim asap. We're open to collaborate and join forces for improving everything we do, specially if they are as talented as he seems to be!!

Keep in touch mate

Cheers!

Update 1

We’ve painted the bases with shining black, we weren’t sure whether to paint the relief logo with metallic blue or gold. As you may notice, the cabin’s pieces are very small. We’ve used an Euro coin to give you an idea of its proportions.

The next photogallery will show you some. We have not much work to be added to the painting job: match rust touches up,  damages on the fuselage and a couple of tones for the back side.

Altough this is a tiny model (11’50 cm. from the rear engine to the end of the cannons), it doesn’t lack any detail. This japanese guys make awesome stuff!!

To finish the three models we need just 4 pilots to be included and some fake damages for the samllest one (9`50 cm).

The cockpits are prepared to stand open or closed to customer’s taste.  In this picture you can appreciate the tones and colours of this two models. Even though they’re exactly the same model, the different base colours and aging effects give them a very different final look.

Now we have the four pilots painted and finished. We can’t go further with such a tiny models. We’ve painted black and yellow marks and scraped the wing’s edge of the Snaptite model, in orden to simulate laser impacts. We finally choosed to add more rust to its fuselage too.

Love the Snowspeeder. Nice job on these little ones, guys. Built a couple back in the '80s myself. Wish I knew where they were now so I could give them a remod using some of the techniques honed in here.

Bill.

On the bench:  Lindberg 1/32 scale 1934 Ford Coupe and a few rescue projects.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.
