What about Dragon's 1/9 Figure kits?

Vince, to add to what Pmitch said, I have only used acrylics on vinyl models. I heard that enamels will interact with the chemicals in the vinyl that inhibits drying or adhering to the model not sure which one it is. However, I would think if you lay down a good primer and coat the model well enamels could work. I' leave that decision up to you. I find CA glue easy enough to use on vinyl, but to fill gaps my best solution was using an epoxy putty like milliput. I'm planning another vinyl figure kit for the Star Wars GB, hopefully to start as soon as the weather warms up some.

I treated my Ironman exactly the same any other styrene kit. But yours is more of a Vinyl so I'd go with CA glue. Painting should be the same as any other kit but you'll need a good primer. For the putty again any good one should be fine. Have a look for the Hero's and Villians Group Build we did a while back where a few similar kits where built

I just picked up Guardian of Galaxy Star-Lord. This will be my first kit of this nature so I'm not sure if I should handle it differently than I would with a Styrene plastic kit. The material seems like vinyl.

Can you paint it with enamel or acrylic? Last time I painted some vinyl tracks they never dried.

Looks like I might have a seams that needs putty. Is there anything special or to avoid with regards to putty?

How about glue. Should I use epoxy or will CA work fine?

Overall it seems like a easy build other than the painting. I have done several of the Polar Light kits and had fun with them.

Stephen, there is a YouTube channel "quaralane" who has built most of the Ironman kits and has videos posted. They may be helpful.

Cap and Thor's faces look to be pretty well sculpted. I am not sure if they captured exacting visages of Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth but the faces look good.

Yep, I have problems with faces too. Is the sculpting on the face good? Sometimes it can be off, but then I have little experience with newer kits. I've dealt with the old AMT Star Wars vinyl kits, and they are ok for their age.

I bought the Captain America and Thor kits to go along with my Moebius Iron Man Mark VI that I had already completed.  They look like simple, easy-to-build kits, probably simpler than the Moebius kit was since I went with Alclad paints and interior lighting.  My only concern is painting the faces so they will appear at least somewhat real and not a fleshy blob.

That is a good size for the price. I may seriously have to try and convince my wife that I need to get this kit. That it would be a great start to a Mavel collection. Maybe I should leave the collection part out though.

I have the Igor kit and its big.The hand is 30mm by 65mm compared to 15mm by 20mm on the one I built. Price wise you'll get a lot of plastic for your cash, I'd guess 15 to 18 inches while mine is 8-9 inches.

Also the next Avengers film will have the true Hulk Duster amour which will be even bigger I think, I will have to get that when it comes out ( I do hope Dragon do one)

P mitch, Thanks for the response. I saw that in the group build (I did the Han Solo) did not realise it was a dragon kit. I will have to go back and look at your build pics. You did a great job on the painting. I was interested in the other armor forms that they have available, like the Igor suit.

I have most of the Dragon Ironman kits and they are a breeze to build. You will be tempted to light them and that's easy too. The biggest problem with Ironman was getting the paint right. Have a look at the pictures below
