Its great to see these old iconic ships being turned out in such large scales - the price doesn't really bother me if the kits a good'un. I spent £150 on the Titan Find Liberator from Blake's 7 last year and it was worth every penny - I just need to paint and finish it now..

I watched Space 1999 right from episode 1 onwards when first broadcast, its good to see the programme retained a dedicated following 40 odd years later

Yup. It was announced by R2 at wonderfest. It is 1/2 scale to the 44 inch (sort of) studio scale model.

Some heavy hitters in the Space 1999 world were involved in the design. James Small for one.

Those who saw the prototype at wonderfest said it is VERY accurate. It will have sprung landing gear

and retail for around $100.

This kit is the holy grail for Space 1999 fans! I have 1 on preorder.

R2 has said that if this kit sells well a large hawk could be coming.

I admit I don't yet know much about the kit.

However, I now realize Space 1999 must have been much more popular than I envisaged back when I watched it first run.

Perhaps it was those Go-Go boots...........Surprise

Now if they would also release a MK 9 HAWK in the same scale...................Hmm
