hey fellas, i see this thread is a year old and you've probably got it handled by now. I've been building these with lots of light, sound and up graded parts to sell. i actually spent a saturday doing surgery on a stock set of walls to shorten them up. i then got the idea to duplicate them with silicone mold making material and liquid quick set plastic. they turn out fairly decent.

I also bought just about everything that Shapeways sells for these and have duplicated most of those pieces for my builds as well.

I' just started the first of 5 cutaway falcons i have, short walling those is tricky business. I only knew what pieces needed working, but no idea what each needed exactly. got it figured out now, though, but holy cow!

just putting it out there.

As someone else mentioned, check Shapeways from seller 308bits. If he doesn't have have it, ask him (TonyRR). I'm working on the MPC Falcon as well as the Hasbro Falcon conversion. He has plenty of upgrade parts for both Falcons including the Snap-Tite and De Agostini. He sent me a sample of the engine vents for the Hasbro and the detail is amazing. In fact, I'm going to ask him if he can scale down his design to fit the MPC.

Here is the cockpit 3D printed. The quality is impresive. If you don't see it, contact him. He might do it for you.

Check Shapeways.

In mine I just worked with the OEM sidewalls, shaving them so they would look less tall and added more greeblies.  Its not 100% accurate but I dont care too much about that.

Jack, I have had no luck with falcon kits either, my guess is they are now defunct. I think scratchbuilding and Blue moon are the only options. Its an old OOP kit, I can't imagine anyone else doing anything new. There used to be a couple of other companies, one of which did the lazer cannon, but these are also now gone.

I am planning on getting the Blue moon for mine when I can and then scratch building anything else.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Well, I'm not too confident in my scratch-building skills on that kind of scale, lol. My level of scratch-building experience is limited to small detail pieces and simple shapes, never anything as intricate as the cockpit or sidewalls of the Falcon.

Accurizing the MPC Millennium Falcon

Anyone know where there might be sidewall/cockpit kits available for accurizing the MPC Falcon? Starship Modeller is out of the blue moon kits and I can't tell if Falconkits.com is still a legitimate option since the website hasn't been updated in 8 years and the email link is broken.

I would love to take a crack at the MPC Falcon, but I don't even want to touch the thing if I can't get AT LEAST a sidewall kit for it.
