I just recieved an email from Revell this morning. I asked what the tentative release date and pricepoint for this kit would be and the answer from Revll is that it is tentatively scheduled for a Nov. release at an MSRP of $299.99.
For anyone interested, take it for what it's worth, but it's not going to be much cheaper than picking up a Finemolds off of Ebay. Sucks too, I was really hoping this would come out at around the MSRP of the FM kit when it first came out (roughly $161).
Currently Working On - DeAgostini Millennium Falcon, 1/16 MPC General Lee, Moebius Bride of Frankenstein
Next Up - Hobby Boss 1/350 USS Arizona, 1/24 Aoshima BTTF DeLorean, 1/25 Polar Lights BTTF part III DeLorean Mark IV
WOW, now thats pricey.I really wasn't expecting Revell to sell it for nearly double what FM did, i was thinking it would be cheaper. I take it this is 72nd scale.

That price is ridiculous.

Scarecrow Joe That price is ridiculous.
It's definitely unreasonable. I think it's being priced that high based on the price that the Finemolds kits are going for on Ebay, but thats only because they are not being made anymore (for now) and are the best kit available (outside the DeAgostini prop of course).
Unfortunately there will be people to pay that price. As mentioned just watch ebay. However, we do have "A New Hope" that Bandai will produce an accurate kit at a reasonable price.

jack, as i understand it, the Revell kit is the FM kit. Revell apparently bought the FM molds. I know Revell need to make the money back, but this seems a funny way to do it.
