Revell Robotech Condar

Does anyone know which kit this Condar is supposed to represent in the mecha world? Got another eBay deal, the box art shows a brown/tan desert camouflage scheme. I'd like to see what the kit was supposed to look like and attempt to paint it in those markings.

It is a Dougram Soltik/Soltek H102 Bushman.

One thing with the dougram Kits a lot of the painting insutrctions will call for a light grey for sections of the arms & legs they should be silver/aluminum.

Colour/camo schemes varied in the anime depending on the surroundings that they were used in. The Robotech models cover the most common schemes that the kits were originally sold with in Japan.

There are 2 good Books for mecha references out there.(in japanes ebut got plenty of pics and cels from the Anime:

Sunrise Robots Complete File 1: Real Robots Version
Sunrise Robots Complete File 2: Super Robots Version

The books are fairly upto date and also cover Gasaraki and Gaogaigar mecha, not much Gundam as those are mostly covered in books by Bandai.

Actually the Bushman like most of the "enemy" mech had all multiple schemes.

Dougram was the odd-one out and never changed colours.

I think those variations you're thinking of are Americanized by Revell. Unless you're talking about the 'variation' artwork on the instruction sheet. That art was for the evolution of the design and schemes, but wasn't in the show. The Bushman was just Brown and white in the anime. Soltic Roundfacers were green and silver, the Roundfacer ace was blue and silver with a wrist cannon.

Thanks for the links. That dark brown/white (kit parts are a really light whitish green and dark brown) makes the kit colors seem more reasonable.

Robin,
In the BattleTech/Battlemech universe the Condar is called a Griffin.
