F1 hover race car

Here is a What-if model I have been working on for a while. Still not completely done but wanted to basically test out a homebuilt light box I built. So here are some shots of how it turned out after several editing in Infranview photo editor. Still not perfect but better than anything I have done. Again, the inspiration for this model was put into reality after seeing Igor Sobolevsky wonderful 3D art station work called 'Axiom Racing'. His 3d version is to 'die for'. Still need some touch ups in some areas and needs a stand, on a wooden base, when done.

Hope you all like this build.

Jaw dropping! It's such a creative and unique idea, and I love the weathering!

Thanks for that. You are too kind in your comments. Just doing my best like any other modeller. I added a little more details: 1. Rear motor resistent protective deflectors 2. Side burners resistent protective deflectors 3. Back burner resistent protective deflector There will be no back-mounted wing. Changed my mind. I think it looks good without one. Still looking for a way to add a canopy to the cockpit. Until then the driver will be using his helmet. I think I will just leave this as is and not add a canopy. The area behind the driver is pretty high and would look kinda awkward. Don't want to over-do it. i will just concentrate on placing it on a base mount with a figure and call it quits.

Trolling through some of the old science fiction threads and came across this. Amazing work. Inspiring to me. I'm curious to know what you built this out of. Scratch built? Or kit smashed? All your work is really inspiring!

Thanks. The basis of the kit was the Tamiya MP4 Honda 1/12 kit. The engines were made out of astma cannisters. The rest of the small details were taken from extra kits I had on hands. Some were scratch built. Glad you like it.

Thanks. I had planned this but then saw it looked better without it.
