Thanks guys. My thoughts with the snow was where it would accumulate if it was being blown around the battlefield since the walkers were probably dropped off for the assault on Echo Base. The more I look at it the more I think I overdid it. Oh well, it's painted on with craft paint so I can always go back and fix it at some point if I really want to. Stik, I was expecting that to be the hardest part of this bui but was pretty painless.

True, but I love constructive criticism. I've learned quite a lot because of it.

Well, I HAVEN'T!! I think that the snow in some places (around the feet) looks correct.  I don't think the snow in all the crevies looks correct - you'd have to cover this thing with it to look right. Just go look at heavy  machinery, or trucks, cars with snow on top of them to get a good idea of what is would, or should look like with varying amounts covered over them. Sometimes we have to take a step back to see things in a different light. Cool build, but WAAAAYY to small!!! Weren't these originally 6" inches tall? I had the MPC version that only cost a little over $2.00 back in the day when these were first offered.

Nice build! Followed this on the GB Forum.

If anyone is interested, Dragon is going to release a 1/35 AT-AT walker. I believe it would stand around 20-22 inches tall. Have heard some sqwacks on accuracy, but at that size it should not be anything to hard to fix. They also have some 1/144 vehicles for those of us that lack shelf space.

Instead of the supplied rubber band, go to your hardware store and get yourself a spring. Something like an old screen door spring only MUCH smaller of course. They sell 'em in all kinds of sizes and tensions. Once you've got the correct tension and you've cut it to the right length to make the head positionable as you'd like, it'll never go bad (unless somebody repeatedly yanks on it).

Bill.

On the bench:  Lindberg 1/32 scale 1934 Ford Coupe and a few rescue projects.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.
