Hello, I just got my Bandai Falcon and I've looked around for the best paints to get for it (this is my first model, ever). It's a bit of a confusing mess to be honest, lots of people with different opinions on what the correct color is, there is a website that sells mixed paint ready made for Falcon models but they're sold out. I don't have an airbrush so I'm gonna do it by hand.
Could anyone perhaps point me to the right direction when it comes to which colors to get for the Falcon? I do have my eye on some Tamiya spray cans for the undercoat (Insignia White).
Thanks!
Gamera That's great to know, I've been hearing people grousing about not being able to get the FineMolds kits, nice to find out how good the Bandai ones are.

Yeah, you can get the Bandai kit easily on Amazon for $50 (free 2-day shipping if you have Amazon Prime membership).

Just recieved my Bandai 1/144 The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon and I just have to say that I am beyond impressed. The amount of detail that is found in this small Falcon not only rivals the Finemolds 1/144 counterpart, but it exceeds it in my opinion. As with other fine Bandai Star Wars releases, the quality of this kit is amazing, especially considering it can be had for 1/3 the price of a Finemolds 1/144 online, AND it's bigger (not sure whats up with this since they are both listed as 1/144, but if the Bandai kit is truly 1/144, then the Finemolds kit is something more like 1/200). The kit does not require glue (like the other Bandai kits), but will require extensive weathering and painting to make it look screen accurate. It comes with decals to simulate the different color panels on the ship, but I will probably paint them on as opposed to using the decals.
I will try to post pics as they come as I build it, but I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a reasonable sized Falcon model that is super-detailed, won't break the bank, and can be easily displayed in their home.
