Sorry I didn't comment earlier.  I think you did a terrific job on your figure. I kept thinking I needed to say something and kept putting it off.  I really like looking at work like this, but  it doesn't help if I don't post. I hope you continue to share even though it's slow here.   Again,  your figure is great.          gk

Hi Joe,

Fett came out very nice. The weathering really brought him to life. I am currently working on my first gundam kit from Bandai. If Boba is anything like this I can understand your joy of building these kits. Engineering is great and the articulation is awesome. Like you said, you can build it with toy like quality or really detail it like you did with Boba. Either way it looks good.  Thanks for sharing.

Well thanks man.  I will do the planned diorama and take better pics but I will post those elsewhere.  The Santrooper and Cpt. Phasma along with two First Order Troopers will be also posted elsewhere. For anyone who cares they will be in the RPF General Modeling forum.  Much better response there and motivation.  Pretty knowledgable guys too and best of all its a forum that is 100% functional and alive...

Will browse here for some technical tips only from time to time. See you around guys.

He looks pretty darn cool to me! I love how you replicated the dented worn look of the helmet and pauldrons. Looking forward to seeing him on the base with poor frozen Han.

I know some here look down on these kits but I hope some here like it.  It photographs very well and looks quite real. Also working in a Sandtroopper, have a Cpt. Phasma and a couple of First Order Troopers waiting for been built also but I may just keep those to myself.  This site is truly nor what its used to be.

Thanks man. I have a feeling these kits are not taken too serious around here? It would be a shame because they are extremely well done, very detailed and cane be taken to the next level with some clean building and realistic weathering. I will next work on the Sandtrooper and already ordered Phasma and a pair of new First Order Stormtroopers to build a little diorama.

Ouch, for some reason I was thinking this was an old post kicked back to the top. Very cool! I like the fabric cape, seems it always looks better than painted plastic. And neat that the figure is balanced well enough to stand like that without a pin in his heel.

Im currently in a love affair with these Bandai Star Wars Figures, this is currently my second one.  I also have a cool Sandtrooper waiting in line. I was planning on posting when it was finished but since I am near the end I will post some WIP images.

We start with the head:

 Then head plus torso:

Some legs:

Accesories are well done and detailed:

A little dance to celebrate. He is really standing by himself showing ow well balanced and engineered the kit is:

The cape is to me the weak part in this kit so I replaced it with real cloth, to resemble the ESB Boba Fett:

A little paint:

With Jetpack inplace plus cape:

Details right hand painted:

Hero shot practice:

Kit is finished but things are only getting interesting. Weathering started.  I used the Jetpack to practice my approach.  Wash done after paintinbg and decals were done.

Second wash and scratches.

Pastels to add dusty appearance and discoloration.

Started weathering and painting in the helmet. The sides were painted by hand a dark rusty brown color. The decals were not lookoing as real as I wanted.

Thats where I am now so I hope to post new images soon!
