These guys are COOL! I would really like to someday have the time to work on my weathering skills, soon as I muster up the gumption to post a pic my work will be in aircraft and armor....... that is until I finish my Klingon Battle Cruiser and Enterprises. Really nice job on these figs.

we're modelers it's what we do

Hey Scarecrow Joe... I love the work that you did on this and I like how you photographed them too. Very nice work.

BTW... I agree about the vibe and the feeling like I am talking to an empty room. It is disappointing. The longer that it goes on, the more that I feel that I am wasting my time on here. There seems to be a fair amount of gawkers, but few participants. Pretty sad.

Back to what you did though...  I love it, and thanks for posting it!

That trooper must have been deployed in the desert for awhile, great work

Yeah Stephen, I haven't built much SF recently but I've been posting it. And I try to respond to others posts even if simply because I like seeing more stuff like this here.

I like it Joe, nice work there.

As for the Sci-fi forum, it has always been this way and i seriously doubt they will shut it down. Finescale is mostly dedicated to armor, planes and cars, but they do cater to all genres of modeling. There is a rather small following for sci-fi, but I will say I have seen people here that I would not have thought would build sci-fi.

Gamera, I understand your frustration, but please keep up your posts. That is why this site is so slow. I am not a prolific poster (10 years, just over 1000 post), but when I do post I don't expect much of a response. I just like to share what I have done and if no one wants to comment that is okay with me. I do appreciate any comments.

I also post on SSM's forums, because it is dedicated to sci-fi and it is a small group.

I guess what I am trying to say is keep up the posts no matter what.

-Stephen

Very, very cool! Only little teeny nitpick I'd make would be I'd have put more dirt, dust, grime around the feet and leg armour than the chest and helmet. I guess in a sandstorm it would blow up there but still just seems the lower parts of the armour would be dirtier. Still no big deal, you did a great job on him otherwise.

And I share your frustration, just seems outside the aircraft, armour, and auto sections the forum is really slow over the last year or so. I've cut back on posting stuff too when it seems like I'm talking to an empty room.

Thanks knox. Its theRPF forums. Check there under General Modeling.  Its a forum oriented to movies props and has a strong modeling section.  I will post the dioramas there.  Again thanks for looking. Dont forget to give a look to the finished Boba Fett by me in this site. Hope you like.

Wow!  You really made these come alive.  The weathering is top notch, but you also made other details pop ( like the backpack on your trooper).  Nice job on both. So impressive!                      gk

( what is RFP?  I would really like to follow til the end.  Thanks )

Hope you like. Any comments and opinions welcomed! Didnt post any more progress pics due to the lack of interest and overall dead vibe around here. If you check the RPF forums you will see a more complete thread there. I posted these finished pics for the few folks who were following it but the planned Fett and Han diorama as well as the Cpt Phasma and First order troopers dio's will be posted in the RPF forums. Unless the admins here do anything with this site I do not see it lasting one year more, sorry to say.
