Falcon Cut-Away Test and FAILED post.
Posted by RRA2 on Sunday, May 1, 2016 8:56 PM

Even though I have done this in the past....I can't get it right.  Ive seen all the forum stuff on this but it seems there are no two alike.   I know the upfront part (upload to Photobucket) then copy HTML and bring it in to my post. What I get is what you see below.   OR I get a get the empty box with a the small x in the upper left corner.  Sorry for the failed post!

 Recent build....AMT kit.

Don't use the html link; use the second one down labeled "direct".

after http://, there should be an "i", not an "s".

I also use PhotoBucket, and I'm not sure if your setup looks the same, but here's how I do it. Under each picture I have a single click-window that says IMG. I click on that window and the URL is automagically highlighted. I right-click the highlighted window and right-click, and select 'Copy'. Back here I right-click again and select 'Paste', and my pictures just appear.

Interesting. I am still having the problem where any text below the picture becomes a link back to my picture. My list doesn't have a "Direct" selection.

Sir, You're using the wrong one.  Each one always says: "HTML, Direct, IMG. Choose the one on the bottom. This is how I post all my photos (when I can).

Maybe a picture of a squirrel playing a harmonica will make you feel better?

It isn't neccessarily all your fault.  I started having a lot of trouble with PooterBucket several months ago.  Photos would upload and be viewable on PB but the links wouldn't work or the photo would only partially show on the direct link.  Of course any photo on PB that gets buggered means that you will have to upload it again to a slightly different name.  (PB for some reason does a cache of the initial photo and keeps it even if you correct it)

Anyway what with the fact that they only want to store and show 1024 x 768 photos and the direct links ONLY will show that resolution.  I finally decided to migrate everything away from PooBucket.  Another forum that I am a member of also hosts their own photos.  As that is my main posting forum and I am quite involved there, hosting my photos there is OK according to their rules.  I only post on a couple of other forums and those are always secondary mirrors to my main forum that has the photos.

I know it isn't a lot of help but PBucket has been going downhill for a while and seems to be having a LOT of problems lately.
