Tank-Builder,

They are pretty nice kits. I got this one at Barnes and Nobles, believe it or not. It was 50% of so under 10 bucks. Thought at that price why not give it a try?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh first Gundam. I don't think we remember our first plane or our first tank but we remember our first Gundam. Mine was a Serpent Custom from Endless Waltz.   There's a bunch of looselyrelated- and non-related storylines divided into " centuries"or as independent stories.

Great kits and they are a marvel of engineering.

If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong! Build to please yourself and they will flame you every time!

I don't know much about Gundams but looks pretty darn good to me! Nice work on the battle damage and the missing arm. Yes

My first Gundam - Gundam Fenice

Hello fellow modelers,
This, as said, is my first gundam and it was built entirely at work (during my lunch breaks). So it is all brush painted using Vallejo paints. This is the gundam Fenice, now I have only seen gundam wing and endless waltz so I am not to familiar with the story line. As I understand, this is a model that a kid makes that is entered into a tournament and some how "comes to life" and fights, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I say this to defend what you are about to see. I wanted my model to have a battle worn look and damage to it (as best as I can achieve), so I made a more realistic weathering effect on this. It was also good practice to hopefully achieve the battle worn effect. I will stop rambling now and show my attempt at a well used gundam, oh btw, all images were taken from my ipod.

Close up of some battle damage. I had Pacific Rim running through my head for ideas, it came woefully short of that though.

Overall it was a fun build and well engineered by Bandai.
