And to answer your question about painting.  Don't have to do any if you don't want to.  Weathering about the only thing you might want to do.  Here are a couple of reviews I found on them.  Like I said, they look awesome.

I'd have to agree with Gamera.  Those Bandai kits look awesome.  I have heard, and seen that they go together extremely well.  I'm looking into getting them myself.

I've been eyeing those kits.  I would like to do something that requires glue and not a ton of paint and/or painting skill.  You think those might be a good start?

Well, the new Bandai kits are a little expensive but they seem to fall together without much work at all. The A-Wing I've been working on is snap-fit and molded so you don't have to paint it though you really should since plastic unpainted looks like... well unpainted plastic.
