I wonder if this will become her signature firearm, like Chewie's crossbox or Hans' blaster? Did she get it back after she was captured by Kylo Ren on Mos' planet after Hans gave it to her?

ok its done .this kit was primed with alclad gloss black. the entire model is painted with alclad lacquer. the barrel and lower plug is stainless steel, the front and end caps of the body is white aluminum, the body is aluminum, the frame is semi matte aluminum, the hammer looking thing is white aluminum, the screws are unpainted and the grips are model master flat black. the kit is held together with scotch 3m super glue and giving a black tamiya wash. this was a suprise by my daughter and it goes with her star wars collection . thank you for watching and your comments. oh the soot is jet exhaust.

Looks like that will build up into a nice prop.

Hi,

According to my college chemistry professor, bakelite is the stuff they used to make telephones out of (back when they were still connected to the wall and the property of Bell Telephone), because it could stand up to so much abuse. Surprise

Bakelight? Movie prop quality stuff there. I think you can polish that stuff?

I've worked with it before and its tuff stuff to work but it holds its shape againts rough handling. You'll have to use different paints, adhesives, primers... screws when possible.

You can really get creative with lighting and finishes. Best finish for any metal parts is powder coating.

You've got a lot options here for a truly stunning mantle piece!
