X-wing pilot?

Anyone know where to get a reasonably priced 1/48th scale X-wing pilot for the old MPC kit?

The original X-Wing glue kit is listed as 1/42 scale. I'm not sure specifically, but the old Millennia Models International (MMI) used to do some outstanding updates for the older Star Wars kits and Battlestar Galactica kits. I picked up their cockpit and seated pilot figure for the Colonial Viper and it was excellent. I think they did something similar for the MPC X-Wing along with a small R2/R4 unit, but I haven't seen or heard of it in decades.

I think with the coming of the constant scale Fine Molds and now Bandai kits in both 1/48th and 1/72nd scale, a lot of the aftermarket makers have abandoned making pricey updates for ancient kits since up-to-date kits are cheaper than a resin update and are concentrating on photo etched for the new kits and decal options.

I recently paid $30 for a new tool large 1/30th scale Revell X-Wing that is quite a nice kit. That's probably what an old MMI resin cockpit and pilot figure set went for back in the day.

Thanks for your reply. I will probably use the 1/48th scale Bandai figure for the MPC kit. Also, where did you get the 1/30th scale X-wing for that price!

A local closeout store called Ollie's. About a half dozen stores in the Louisville, KY area. They sell for around $90 elsewhere.
