I am a big fan of all the Gerry Anderson TV shows and have loved the MiG 242 from the is first episode of 'Joe 90'. Joe 90 was preceded by 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons' which featured futuristic 'Angel Interceptor' aircraft. The Mig 242 was designed incorporating aspects of the Angel, as the production company wanted to re-use existing props.
I made this model of the Mig 242 using the Airfix Angel Interceptor kit as a starting point.
