Sorry for cross posting, but I can't remember if the model in question was a fighter or a ufo. it's been almost 40 years...
The year was 1978. I was in college and had been building many model kits. All the flight ones were hanging from my bedroom ceiling. I remember this one kit that was not from a real aircraft or TV/movie, but I seem to remember it has some UFO reference or something. It consisted of two air/space craft. The big one looks similar to the X3. but h
ad a docking bay in the tail where the little (Scout?) ship could "attach" with only the nose inside the "mothership." It is long lost but I am rebuilding all those lost ships and this one is unknown and no google search or search of model history has turned up any clues.
Before you say "Lief Erickson." NO! It's not. Please look at the photo where is shows part of the ship and tell me if you have any clue. Thanks.
I think it is the AMT UFO kit. Also available in all glow in the dark plastic.
It's called the Ragnorok. I actually have one in a box.
