Finemolds TIE Fighter...
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 4:34 AM
Hi all!

I am NEW here. I really LOVE sci-fi kits. This one is one of my last models. I made it straight from the box. To say true this kit is simply superb, so good as any other FInemolds kit of Star Wars saga. I really have a lot of fun making it.
Thank you for letting me share it with you!

Enjoy modeling!
Lu

The Finemolds web site is: http://www.sala.or.jp/~fm/ The Star Wars page is http://www.sala.or.jp/~fm/starwars/newhope.htm and the best place to buy Finemolds models is Hobby Link Japan http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljlist.cgi?Series=Star+Wars&Category=SciOth&Dis=2

Hi all!

Very glad you all like it! Many thanks for your kind words, but believe me, kit is so excellent that modeler only have to add very little work for his side. It is one of the easiest models I have ever made. Details is superb, fits perfectly and painting is very simple really plus very high quallity decals are provided too. No much work for the modeler, I think.

I painted it wth Vallejo Model Air colors (for airbrush). Wash was made with artist`s oils diluted with humbrol thinner. Other minor details were painted with Vallejo Model Color (for brush). That was all.

Enjoy modeling!

I just bought the old AMT TIE fighters (two in the box) for $10 at a show, still in the shrinkwrap...while I know they're not FineMolds, your work has inspired me to put the PBY Catalina away and do a TIE or two...

Best,

Jeff
