Bones1977 Im a 80s kid I loved the cartoon and my mom and dad spent a lot of money on the toys .
The only Transformer that I can think of with any significant representation as a scale model is "Jetfire". This is because of the toy version's origins in the VF-1 Valkyrie from the anime series Macross. (The Jetfire toy was a VF-1S)
The popularity of Macross has ensured that there are many models of the Valkyrie in multiple scales and varying configurations. There are static models and transforming models from a number of manufacturers, notably Hasegawa and Bandai.
Unfortunately, for Transformers enthusiasts, there are none in Transformers colours, though it wouldn't be too difficult to paint one up in the same scheme as the toy version.
I never did the two large kits, but I remember building smaller, transformer style Go Bots kits. A Harrier, Space Shuttle, car (Trans Am?). These were snap together kits and when finished the arms would pop out and legs could as well. I took these with me the summer of 1985 when I went to Fort Drum for annual training to do something on the down time on middle weekend.
Rob Gronovius I know several Go Bot models were released by Monogram like Leader-1 and Cy-Kill, but were actually various Mecha kits from other lines.

These were from the series Genesis Climber Mospeada, which was adapted to form the third part of the Robotech series.
Most of the manufacturers in this niche market operate out of Japan. Tomy and Kotobukiya have both released plastic kits from the Michael Bay big screen adaptations of "Transformers", but they may be hard to find here in the States. Metal Earth also has a Transformers line of photo-etch metal kits which are readily available.
