Scale of Warhammer figures?

From my old warhammer days, the scale is approx 1/60, as Phil has allready stated. If you want to get into warhammer, you may wish to buy various kits to see what you like doing. Personally, I've never been much into imperial armour. I liked the designs of their Dark Eldar and Eldar kits, and I focused on these. However, their price cannot be denied, as they trully are quite expensive, especially for what you get. I never even played the game, I just loved the models, and I did have a lot of fun with them all. You could combine them with 1/48 scale armour kits (not too many around unfortunately) and they look quite good together.

The scale (in particular 40k) varies. You ever tried stuffing 10 tactical marines into the back of a rhino? or Land raider for that matter?

Don't get drawn into Warhammer. Their models are overpriced. I assume it's because of the small group they cater to. Warhammer kits are just plastic boxes that represent tanks.

If you are going to play warhammer 40k, you might as well make small cardboard boxes stick pencils in them and call them tanks. They would sever the purpose.

Unfortuanately, it seems hobby stores either sell Warhammer or they sell japanese Mecha.

Figures are 28mm which equates to 1/60th scale. They don't look out of place with either 1/72 or 1/48. The tanks, etc are between 4-8 inches long . One of our club members combines the figs with 1/72 battletech stuff for some great dio's.
