Looks great! Did this come with decals also or just the stickers? I found the stickers to be hit or miss. Sometimes they go on very nice, most times I could not get them to stay down.

Stephen,

The Death Star Attack Set and the X-wing/Y-wing kits only came with stickers. And with the great detail on the these aircraft, I knew they would not work well. These are water slide decals I found on eBay. This is the Y-wing set I found on eBay here. I can't say enough good things about these decals. I believe they are home printed, but, worked very well.

Thanks for looking in!

I like it! What colors did you use for your base colors on the ships?

Thanks, Stik!

I used Model Master Light Gray FS36495 on the ships and the base.

Bandai Death Star Attack Set
Posted by hogfanfs on Sunday, December 23, 2018 10:30 AM

I built the Death Star Attack Set for a Christmas Present for a friend of mine. I just finished it this morning, and will be giving it to him later this evening. He's a huge Star Wars fan and earlier this year we were talking about me building this set for his collection. Well, he forgot about it, but, I didn't!

Anyway, this is the 1/144 Bandai Death Star Attack Set with the extra Y-wing and X-wing set. I found 1/144 water slide decals for both the X-Wing and Y-wing. I will say these Bandai kits are extremely detailed and engineered very well. A joy to build. I used MM enamels with Wilder Dark shadow wash and pastels on the base. MM enamels were used on the X-Wing and Y-wing along with a wash of The Detailer and pastels too.

Here are the pictures:

Let me know what you think...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
