Looks pretty darn good. Your first pic had me fooled. FSM did a article back in the 90s on accurizingit. I'll never understand why amt did such a bad job. They actually built the real one for the series in exchange for rights to make the Enterprise kit.

Several more pics of my Galilleo 7 Build/Diorama...
Cool, does look more like that set as best as I can remember. Really need to watch that episode again.

So I added some weathering to the front...pitted,roughed up, to simulate the crash the vehicle made in the show. Along with dusted viewports. The diorama base was modified to better reflect the full size planet set.
Looks pretty darn good to me, esp considering the nature of the kit!
I assume it's built to the scale of the exterior model where the actors had to stoop to enter and exit instead of the interior model where the actors could stand up inside.
Many Thanks! Im still not happy with it. In the near future, Ill probably repaint it etc...
That looks fantastic!I got one of these old kits recently too. Thought it would be a no-brainer quick build, but now the bar has been raised. :)
Original AMT Star Trek ShuttleCraft...woefully inaccurate even with tons of modifications, Including scratch built interior details . Hopefully Round 2/Polar Lights will produce one from a new mold...For now, this will have to do. It came real close to being chucked into the garbage...Just holding on to it for nostalgia sake at this point.
Once I get up and moving I may repaint/re decal the model. Refine it some more .
