How about this. an" Egg Shaped" shuttle for the next build?

 Okay,You may think I am weird.

     You've heard of " Kinder" Eggs? Two eggs equal top and bottom of an egg shaped shuttle. What! Yup. Small, yes, but an idea that worked for a Model RailRoad layout. A small " Egg" shaped U.F.O. Crashed in a farmers's field and the U.S.Army was loading it on a Flatcar to take it away to study.

      Now the nice part of this is you can configure portholes or windows the way you want. Because the thing is in halves you can scratch whole or part of the interior and use mishapen H.O. Figures for the Aliens! Or use putty to reshape them to your liking.

 You can add all kinds of protuberances or leave it a smooth Gravitic Drive ship. Gravitics drive needs no protuberances and requires only three short legs for a two man lander.

 Not every U.F.O needs the be saucer shaped either, remember. Some are shaped like Bananas or Sausages too! Some even have been described as looking like the Pod-Shaped water towers too!

   The boarding ladder can be under the equator of the craft too. If you want ,take some clear sheet and cut out an egg shaped piece that is say a sixteenth inch bigger . Mount short clear posts to make it appear to float and color the ring with candy paint with no undercoat in very thin amounts to represent the Colored Ring around the outside of the ship. Simple, Cute and an awesome little U.F.O.

Nope! Not me.  I say real men can model eggs as well as panzers any day. Big Smile

Confused

Hey, Duster;

 Thanks Man! I got this goofy idea while watching " Ancient Aliens" On the pixielated panel called a T.V.

 There are, in some great paintings, renderings of some bearded folks, in Pods of this shape with Weird outside paraphenalia. So I was eating the sweet interior of one of these things and it hit me.

     Why Not? and besides it is totally outside of anything else I build. Way back when, I took an M-48-A-1 ( Monogram.) Heavily damaged in a fall from a high shelf. I converted it to a heavy cargo carrier for Moon Missions, With a clear Bubble top where the turret used to be .

There is an eggplanes space shuttle. I know one of the old sci-fi model magazines had ships made from those L'eggs egg shaped containers of ladies panty hose.

Hi,

As I kid playing with Playmobile and Fisher Pric e Little People I wanted to take a L'Eggs Egg and connect the ends to a cardboard tube from either a large roill of Christmas paper, or maybe it was a cutdown tube from Quaker Oats and make a toy submarine for them.  Similarly, I also kind of recall using an old cardboard cigar box as a deep sea station, for them (I guess I watched too much Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea as a kid).

Oho!

    The truth comes out!. I used to take those Legg's eggs and make all kinds of spaceships. With full interiors! Now that said, what else could you do with them? I build 1/87 Tank ships as you all know. I take the small easter eggs and cut off the wide end and use it for domes on L.N.G.( Liquied Natural Gas ) Tank ships. I have to use P.E. ladders from 1/700 sips for the ladders running around them from top to bottom.( they go in a spiral from top to bottom )

       Also little Car Cases. Great for 1/43 Autos. And 1/72 scale small Armor pieces! Some 1/144 Planes too! Mini Dios in the Bigger eggs. And so on! On the tank ships.I am in process of doing a Beer transfer tanker in 1/160 ( " N "  Scale) So we'll have a Heinekin tanker at the wharf
