Nothing too radical or out of the ordinary here, just a good old snowspeeder. Opportunity for major weathering. Assembly went smoothly. It's a pretty simple and well engineered kit. I cant really speak to it's accuracy in terms of rivet-counting, but it looks like a snowspeeder. As most all modelers already know, the pilot figures are the worst of it by far. And they are really, really bad. I searched around for some replacement figures but couldn't really find any that suited my needs or budget. In fairness they are only super awful from the waist (or chest...same thing on these little fellas) down. It's like the guy patterning the top half got a memo to do them in 1/28 scale and the dude doing the bottom half was told 1/38 scale. That and they have hollow backsides. But...you dont really see their bottom half, and when "sitting" in the speeder they dont look half bad. Well ok maybe they are more than half bad still, like 3/4 bad, but with a little work I think they are workable. I filled the back of them with putty and scratched environmental control units for their chest, seat belts, etc. I think they will look OK. Not sure how to paint their faceshields though. Not sure if the yellow is doing it for me. Thanks for looking.
