Ecto 1...well 1-ish (Ecto 1 1:25 Polar Lights Completed)

Finally knocked this project out! Getting back into a few benched projects during a holiday break. Finally got the motivation to finish this one after the trailer for the next movie was released.

Now, did I combine decals from both the Ecto 1 and 1A schemes? Did I go overboard on the weathering? Of course, yes on both accounts. I love weathering and sweet decals. Thanks for the look.

Hey nice work Josh.

Although there's no sound, looking at your pics I swear I can hear the "eeeee nerrrrr eeeee nerrrr".

Nicely done. Yes

She looks good!!! I'd have to have someone point out to me the differences between the 1 and 1A schemes but she sure looks like Ecto to me!

One of the issues I do have with the trailer for the new film is the kid driving Ecto 1 though the corn field like a sports car. I don't remember her having much in the way of performance from the first and second movie. Just crossing your fingers to get her to move seems enough.

I never knew there were different versions!  Looks great.  Made me smile.

Thanks,

interesting GB, i guess it would fit between the movies, since there's a few years between the first and second.

I did the AMT Ecto 2, and also backdated one to Ecto 1. the differences are obvious once you're scratchbuilding the parts.

Is the second model based off of the cartoons more than the original? I know a lot of GB2 stuff was pushed in that direction.
