It's kinda hard to tell before the dullcoat but she looks good to me. Nice work on my third favorite starship!

The panel line wash looks a little strong on the bow, can you maybe use a little thinner on a cotton swab and clean it up a little? Anyway I'm nit-picking- as I said it's a really nice job!

Main coast is simple gray spray pain as my airbrush compressor was down.  Paneling is mostly decals.  I am wanting to build this again but paint the panels this time.

Defiant was NOT clearcoated and I will dullcoat it.

Panel Lines were done with Tamiya Panel Line Accent.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement!

She looks good! Nice job.

There are a few spots that could be cleaned up a bit, but overall nice!

A few questions.

What type of paints were used for main coat and the main paneling?

Was the Defiant clearcoated after paint?

What did you use for the panel lines?

And when all is said and done I would probably hit her with a light coat of semi matt clear or even flat. It will seal everything and help "blend" the surface.

And finally, Thanks for posting photos of your kit!

Don't sell it to short, the errors are simple to fix next time. So you have a gloss coat laid down...good, that helps the was "flow" better, it also allows you to daub( remove) excess with a thinner dampened cotton swab or paper towel. By taking off the point where you touched your wash it lessens the effect splotches.

Looks really good and you have the fundamentals down, now just keep practicing and have FUN!!.  P.S. I wonder how big your ship is? As Worf would say " she is small but mighty".

Also, just my preference a flat coat would look really good, but as I said that is my preference.

So this is my first real attempt at panel lines and I was looking for feedback.  I know the screwups are many and glaring but I am wondering what stands out the most...

Thanks!
