Tie Fighter Decals

How do you apply decals to a 1/72 tie fighter? Do I need some solution to set it in? Also, is it necessary to use decal scissors? Thanks for any info.

I always apply decals over a gloss surface and using Micro SET-SOL products. Finemolds decal sheet for TIE fighter is excellent quallity, I mean decal film is really good. I did not have any problem with them. I did not cut film excess in mine. If you have interest to know how they worked, I posted some pics of my finished model some days ago in this forum, please take a look.

Lu, Nice wash. But the problem in my country is we dont have lots of option when it comes to solution like the SET-SOL. I dont even know if we have the Philippine equivalent of Future?
