Yep, the NX is CGI and there is a back issue or two of ST Communicator that would be a good referance.

where are these available?here in arizona nobody has seen one yet.it is true that 1:350 scale is almost the scale paramount might use in filming, that is if there actually were a filming model of the nx-01. i've been told that it is totally CG.is that true?any good sources out there?if it is true it's actually a little scary.as for the lighting at that scale it's pretty easy to come up with the system on your own as the size restaints are not that of the previous trek kits.enjoy!!

now you can definitely put lights in that monster :) seriously 1/350th scale is the biggest scale out there in the Sci-Fi industry alomost the size Paramount uses for the show just wait till they come out for a light set for the NX-01

I was wonder why that thing was marked at 100 dollars Canadian at my local hobby shop, now I know.

It breaks my heart ,really. I've been drooling for that kit to hit the shelves here, now that it is, I can't swing the money at it. I'm leaving Canada for an extended length of time this July and I need the money for other stuff .

Oh, well, you can't have it all. Maybe one day I'll grab one for myself. I just love that ship design. After struggling against the old AMT Star Trek fare for so long, I'd love to have a go ot one of the Polar Lights kits.
