Here she is in formation with the kit I built 10 years ago.

Looking at the 2 of them together, I think the new one could do with a light coat of matt clear.

Cool! Looks Klingon enough I want to shoot at it. And the green and purple was a shock to me when I first heard about it, I always thought the D-7 was a light grey/sky blue before.

Thanks!

I think I'll stick to regular kits from now on, but this was a nice quick build.

It turns out a very nice looking model from the series.

Thanks Bakster! For $15 I could not say no!

The color scheme Matt Jefferies used on this was odd, but perfect!

Green and purple/grey! For years we just thought it was grey.

This is the one of the 2 filming models used back in the '60s:

This was my take on the 1st edition of the Polar Lights kit about 10 years ago:

And the pre-painted kit:

It's a shame they didn't put out a Tholian or Gorn shup, or some of the other original series ships.

That is cool, Mach. And for $15 bones, good deal.  Smiling here. I like it.

I don't build pre-painted snap kit as a rule, but CultTVman had them on sale for $15.

Also I wanted to see the color choice.

Anyway, It didn't take long. I did use glue, but did not fill the seams. There was no easy way as I don't have a match for the paint and the markings would be ruined.
