New Acquisition: Fallout T-45 minis
Posted by PhoenixG on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 3:25 PM

Big fan of the production design of the Fallout video games.  They have characters in what they call power armor and I stumbled across these minis and just had to pick them up.

They're added to the stash and patiently awaiting their turn on the bench.

Those are really cool.  They are from a table top miniature game.

They are indeed.  The tabletop is based upon a series of video games that started release in the late 90s and continues on even now.

I especially like the look they went for in the third game.  Everything had this sickly green cast.  I'd like to attempt to imbue these minis with that color.  This photo doesn't do it justice but hopefully helps convey the look.

Yeah those are awesome!!!

I wanna get some and set them up against my Preditors!

And funny that I never really used the power armour in 3, New Vegas, or 4. I always went with a stealth sniper type build and head-shotted most everything from a distance.

I feel a little bad, because their sculpts are amazing, but I use a couple of their figures to test out skin tones.  These guys spend a quarter of their existence soaking in simple green.  I hope you post pictures of your figures when they are done.  Your painting plan sounds great.       knox

When I first saw your pictures I thought of a certain reactor  gone bad and they might have been part of the cleanup crew.

The only board game I ever played was Batletech/Mechwarrior. I still have a bunch of those figures painted up.

That'd be an awesome diorama!  I'd still put my money on the predators.  Big Smile

Three words, Chinese Stealth Suit.  Power armor was the most awesome looking armor, stealth suit was the most useful.

That's a great idea!

I have little experience with flesh tones so settings aside some varied figures to practice  with would be perfect.

Heh, I can totally see that.

This day and age I don't really play the games so much as acquire figures I think would be fun to paint.  Smile

Thought I would close out the share with a picture of the castings ( I believe these are resin).

Really nice detail and clean lines on all of them.  Any softening of the details is due to the camera and not the casting.

Took some effort but I got them back in the box and back into the stash.  Need to focus on finishing my current WIPs.  Smile

Ummm, those look good Phoenix! Looking forward to seeing them together!

And lol I did use the Chinese Stealth Suit- a lot. And a couple fan created mods of it. There was one really amazing looking Institute one for IV.
