Thanks for the tip! I'll have to keep an eye on it. I'm working on another Bandai kit and was planning to use the Tamiya panel wash again so thanks for saving me from a possible future wtf moment.
Looks great! Be careful using tamiya enamel thinner (panel line accent is basically thinned enamel paint) on Bandai kits though. Bandai plastic is notorious for disintergrating from Tamiya enamel thinner, so best to apply a top coat or use small amounts carefully.
SplatterMan Thanks for the kind comments. It's encouraging! I'm trying to add one new basic technique per build. Next up is scribing.

It's a great way to learn! I still haven't tried my hand at scribing. Hope you'll share your experiences. :)

Nice work! It doesn't look like 1/100 at all. I thought it was 1/72.

Looks like a swing wing Mig 29 on steroids. Very cool and nice job.
Thanks,

That looks sharp.
Don't fret the panel lines. My first attempts at a new technique rarely if ever turn out exactly as hoped. I like the look you accomplished and you've got me looking for one to add to my Macross stash.
Look forward to your next post.
That is a great looking piece of work there. I like that.
This is very cool. I really like the look, like a modern stealth fighter but much more colorful.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
I got this kit several years ago during an aborted attempt to start modelling. This was my first time using a pin wash (Tamiya panel line accent colour) and it shows but not a total disaster I don't think.
I'm blown away by the tooling of Bandai models. The precision fit and almost complete lack of any flash or mould lines is really impressive.
